Packaging Tips: Those High Barrier Compostable Materials in Packaging Bags

Table of Contents

The demand for compostable packaging bags has increased day by day in recent years, and many customers who use traditional packaging are gradually becoming aware of compostable alternatives. After collecting everyone’s questions, we found that what everyone is most concerned about is: Can custom compostable packaging bags maintain high barrier properties?

In fact, it’s easy to understand why everyone is so concerned about the insulation of compostable packaging bags. Because the most fundamental function of packaging bags is storage, in addition to convenient carrying. Many products, such as coffee beans, tea leaves, etc., will change their taste or even deteriorate after excessive contact with air.

Today, I would like to share some packaging knowledge with you on the issue that everyone is most concerned about: VMPLA and NKME, your ideal high-isolation compostable materials.

NKME:

The first material our family recommended to customers was NKME, which is home compost and has a metallic luster. NKME has been around for a long time, and I believe many people already have a deep understanding of it. Its performance is very superior. The most important thing is that it has very good insulation and can automatically degrade in the natural environment. Favored by many brands.

VMPLA:

This material was launched by us last year and is aluminized on PLA film. It can achieve the same level of isolation as VMPET. Not as many customers know about this material as NKME. VMPLA is industrial compost, but it is more cost-effective.

If you are considering replacing your packaging bags with high-insulation compostable packaging bags, I recommend that you learn more about these two materials with your partners. Learning more will help you make a decision.

In the next issue, we will share with you some tips on customizing eco-friendly packaging bags for recyclable coffee bags.
