Match the Valve to Your Coffee and Packing Workflow
Freshly roasted coffee releases gas. A one-way degassing valve is designed to let that gas escape while limiting air entry through the valve. Its role is different from the zipper used after opening.
Tell us whether you pack whole beans or ground coffee, how your roast-to-pack workflow operates and whether your current process uses a valve or gas flushing. We can review valve placement alongside the bag material, filling opening and final seal.
For instant coffee powders or coffee sachet outer packs, describe that use separately. A valve is a configuration choice, rather than an automatic requirement for every product carrying the word coffee.
Specify the Barrier Around Your Freshness Goal
Review oxygen, moisture, light and aroma protection together with the coffee, seal and storage conditions. A kraft appearance describes the outside of a bag; the complete inner structure determines the packaging specification.
Share your intended shelf life, storage conditions and any barrier requirements your team already uses. We will discuss an appropriate structure and the information needed to assess it. The shelf life of your filled coffee needs validation for your actual roast, packing process and storage conditions.

Plan the Opening, Reseal and Final Heat Seal
A resealable zipper helps the customer close the pack after opening. The initial heat seal above it closes the newly filled bag. Leave suitable space for the seal, tear notch and filling equipment.
For a valve bag, confirm how the valve, zipper and top seal fit the artwork and filling line. For a side-gusset bag, review the intended closure and seal arrangement separately; side-gusset and quad-seal constructions are not identical.
If you use automated filling, send the opening dimensions, seal requirements and equipment information available to you. Review a sample with the actual coffee and filling process before approving the final specification.

For coffee, the review includes the bag body, valve, zipper, printing and other components. A paper-looking outer layer does not establish that the whole pack is plastic-free, recyclable or compostable.
